about

A cover of All Levels at Once's Phoenix.

Made entirely out of sounds recorded in my last home - a garage sale hide drum, newspaper in a bag, keys on a rosewood desk and even the mains hum provided a wonderfully saturated triangle wave.

And then drowned in effects ranging from warm, vintage preamps to aggressive vocoding and pitch shifting.

Enjoy!

lyrics

If we don't sink these ships today,
We can't be sure they've gone away
The power to kill but so polite
You look so much better with the knife

The phoenix fire's candlelight
The bird went down without a fight
There's still so much I want to say
You shut my voice out every day

How could anyone else
Grow strong in the face of fire?
Leave me all on my own
Reborn in my darkest hour

All Levels at Once - Original song, stems and permission.

Boosty/Variety of Sound - Majority of my effects at the time are from his freeware collection, and essential to the warm/analog sound sound (as I don't have the ten thousand dollars worth of outboard gear they emulate).
